The NYPPA Intergovernmental Relations Committee was established to assist photojournalists and first responders through understanding, education and open communication. The Intergovernmental Relations Committee is currently working to ensure physical and emotional health of our members exposed to contaminants at the World Trade Center on 9.11 and afterwards. We are currently involved in a dialogue with the NYPD regarding media access and journalists rights. We are tracking denial of visual access in the post 9/11 world and are a clearinghouse for information on denial of our First Amendment Rights throughout the New York Tri-State area.
