New York Police Department officers leave condolence messages at a memorial for slain NYPD officer Randolph Holder after searching for evidence near 120th St. and the FDR Drive on Sunday, October 25, 2015 in New York, N.Y. After five days of round-the-clock searching, police officers found the pistol used to shoot NYPD Officer Randolph Holder to death during a search of the East River. The NYPD's Harbor Unit discovered the .40-caliber Glock in 20 feet of water around 3 a.m. as they scoured the riverbed, authorities said. Officer Holder, 33, died after he was shot in the forehead by Tyrone Howard, who had stolen a bike and was being pursued by cops along the promenade hugging the East River.
